Adam Morgan & Ciceley Motorsport to attend Pendle Powerfest

The team at Pendle Powerfest are delighted to announce that Lancashire based Ciceley Motorsport will be bringing some of the glamour of the racetrack to this year’s show.

The family run team along with star driver Adam Morgan compete in some of the premier racing series in the world including the British Touring Car Championship and the Worldwide Creventic GT Series, where he recently won in Dubai. Adam also competes in the Chinese Touring car championship and is a regular race winner.

Subject to any unforeseen circumstances they will be bringing along their state of the art racing trailer along with three cars.

First is the BTCC Mac Tools sponsored Mercedes A-Class raced by local driver Adam Morgan. He has been competing in the A-Class with Ciceley Motorsport since 2013 with the team credited with bringing back a Mercedes to the BTCC for the first time since the 1980s. The car is based on the shell of the road car but everything underneath is custom built to tight NGTC (Next Generation Touring Car) regulations based around a 2.0 Turbo charged engine making over 350hp.

Adam is rarely out of the top 10 and often on the podium in this incredibly competitive and popular series, with thousands attending tracks around the country plus extensive coverage on ITV. Most teams all use the same engines so finishing position is purely down to driver and engineering skill.

Adam will be holding two autograph sessions on the day with times to be announced.

Adam is joined in this year’s championship by Tom Oliphant who has seen great success in the Ginetta GT4 and Porsche Carrera Cup. It will also be the first time the team has run two cars.

The BTCC is also celebrating their 60th Birthday this year, making it the third oldest racing series in the world after Formula 1 and NASCAR.

Next up is their brand new Mercedes-AMG GT4.

The team were one of those chosen out of hundreds of thousands of applicants to receive this awesome machine.

Based on the road going GT-R, the car boasts a 4.0 V8 Biturbo producing 510hp and up to 600Nm with a 0-60 time of under 4s.

These cars will be seen racing all over the world and we are very lucky to have one at the show.

Finally is the Renault Sport Clio Cup. Based on the road going Clio Renault Sport 220 Trophy, each makes over 220hp from a 1.6 Turbocharged Engine. Raced with 4 drivers in the highly competitive support series of the BTCC the team finished 3rd overall in 2017. On the back of this the team entered the 2018 Dubai 24H Endurance Race winning the A2 Class on their first attempt.

Having looked around their facilities this family oriented team were a pleasure to spend time with and are clearly going from strength to strength. A

s a team local to our event they were keen to show their support and will also be bringing along a MAC Tools stand with some exclusive show offers.

Don’t miss the opportunity to get up close to some world class racing cars and meet some of the people involved in a world very few of us have a chance to experience.
