Racing Royalty in the Paddock

The owner of this spectacular Bentley has agreed to bring it along to join our multi-discipline Celebration of Motorsport Paddock.

This incredible vehicle is a 1928 Bentley 4.5 Litre 4 Seater VDP. The engine produces 110HP and is one of the few remaining of 720 produced.

The present owner has had it over 22 years, there has been much work to keep the car on the road. It has covered over 80000 miles whilst owned and visited many countries inc South Africa, The USA and was featured in Bentley Magazine in 2004 racing across Jordan.

Bentley's have a long standing Le Mans Connection.. A 4½ Litre Bentley won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1928. Though the 4½ Litre Bentley's competitive performance was not outstanding, it set several speed records, most famously in 1932 at Brooklands with a recorded speed of 138 mph.

This is the first in our announcements of some truly special racing machines from a variety of eras..

Our thanks to Mark Stone from Ribble FM for putting us in touch with the owner who featured on Mark's Sunday Driver show a few weeks ago. You can listen to the interview here
